Forthcoming International Conferences of the CCDS

Participation in 2016-17 Conferences

In the framework of the curriculum in the Center for Cultural Diplomacy Studies - BA, MA, MBA and PhD students are offered to participate in the conferences of the CCDS taking place in Berlin and other cities around the world in order to enable additional professional experience and to enhance their studies with current real world examples of cultural diplomacy. During the conferences, students are invited to conduct interviews with the prominent speakers, assist in the moderation of the conferences, and participate in bilateral meetings with the prominent speakers & delegates.

The Berlin Economic Forum Project 2014-2014 (www.beforum.de) is the world’s leading project combining the fields of International Economics and Relations, Nation Branding and Cultural Diplomacy with an interdisciplinary and multinational program. The Project was established in order to further promote sustainable economies worldwide and the inauguration of the project took place in November 2014 with its launch event in Berlin. The next event series will take place from March - July 2017 in Berlin/Germany and will focus on Sustainable Economies, Tourism & Responsible Foreign Investments. (More »)

The International Symposium on Cultural Diplomacy in Germany »
"Utilizing Cultural Diplomacy to Develop Economic and Cultural Bridges"

(Berlin; June 1st - 4th, 2017 - Held Parallel to the Berlin Carnival of Cultures)

The 2017 International Symposium on Cultural Diplomacy in Germany will take place in Berlin from June 1st - 4th, 2017 and will be held parallel to the Berlin Carnival of Cultures. The 2017 International Symposium on Cultural Diplomacy in Germany will include keynote addresses, lectures, and interactive panel discussions and debates in order to create a platform for new initiatives to be created and proposed. To complement and support the symposium curriculum, exhibitions will be hosted parallel to the symposium sessions and site-visits will be arranged. (More »)

"Promoting Global Human Rights through Cultural Diplomacy"

(Berlin; December 14th - 19th, 2016)

The current political and security situation in many regions and countries together with the deteriorations of social norms for the use of violence, emphasizes the growing need for a greater cultural dialogue, understanding and trust in order to avoid further escalation. The 2016 Annual Conference on Cultural Diplomacy therefore focused, on raising awareness and support for activities that promote global human rights. (More »)
